- Weasel Mania (Fat Wreck) What we have here is a greatest hits CD. Now, I’ve been a huge Screeching Weasel fan for as long as I can remember, so naturally I dig this disc. However, what normally annoys me about greatest hits CDs remains true here; regardless of how good the collection is, I always think I could have picked better songs, only because I’d pick all my favorite songs. I am a selfish slob, yes. Of course, this is just a matter of taste. Combining thirty-four songs, Weasel Mania represents thirteen previously released albums. From Boogadaboogadaboogada to Teen Punks in Heat, a representation is offered that nicely exhibits the growth and change of Screeching Weasel and their music throughout the years. Odd, there are no songs from Weasel’s Ramones cover CD, Beat is on the Brat. Probably a money/royalty thing.  If you like Screeching Weasel, you’ll like this disc. If you do not like Screeching Weasel, then you’re a putz and I do not like you. Of course, I am kidding. I don’t give a shyt what you like or dislike, I still don’t like you! Included with the cd are some pretty good liner notes by Ben Weasel, John Jughead, Danny Vapid, and Jersey Beat (where this “reviewer” got his start) publisher Jim Testa. Hey, it’s time Ben Weasel got off his bucket and put out some more music! A must for the Weasel fan. -Denis Sheehan
