- Bottoms Up (Fork in Hand) I don't usually go for ska music. It tends to make me grit my teeth and for some reason to get very, very angry. However, as I sat listening to The Allstonians, I couldn't help but sway my head a little and get up and dance, if only for a minute. They have a nice way about their usage of horns and even though most of the music sounds pretty much the same, I couldn't help but feel good when I was listening. Maybe I've matured and broadened my horizons when it comes to ska music, but I'm just going to say that maybe The Allstonians have put out an album that's accessible to people who may be resistant. Or, maybe, it's just a damn good record. -Liz Haebe
