(Blue Underground) 1970. 96 minutes. Not Rated, violence, nudity. Yawn…yawn…yawn, until the killer is exposed.
Directed by Dario Argento, this flic is often referred to when discussing classic Italian Giallo. Personally, I do not get it. Although the story is slow as hell, I can appreciate Argento’s direction, camera work, and great use of colours and shadows. Frankly, fans of Argento and Giallo will love this release due to its quality and extras. If you’re not a fan of this genre, then you are not missing anything. DVD one includes the movie, audio commentary, and trailers. DVD two has four interviews, including Argento. – Denis Sheehan
